What does the human body and a river monster have in common?

They both need water to survive! The human body is made up of anywhere from 50-75% water.  A continual flow of fresh H2O helps your body to function properly. But, who wants to settle for survival when you have a chance to thrive? Replenishing your water supply regularly will keep you satisfied and increase your skin’s glow from the inside out.  The number 1 tip on how to jumpstart your #weightloss is to drink plenty of water.

Dehydration can often be disguised as hunger. You can easily test this out the next time you feel the need to snack in between meals. Instead of reaching into the pantry right away, drink some water, wait 15 minutes, then if you are still ravenous go ahead and have a healthy snack.

Try drinking real unadulterated filtered or bottled water, adding caffeine or artificial sweeteners can hinder your weight loss. There are so many great ways to naturally flavor your water try adding a slice of lemon, lime, cucumber, mint or berries. Go ahead, dive in and have a minimum of  eight 8 ounce glasses per day!

That meant that I gave up counting calories for eating an unlimited amount of fresh nutrient rich food. Whole foods are foods in their natural state, for example a container of fresh strawberries from the produce department vs. a strawberry cereal bar that comes in a box or a piece of real grilled chicken vs. a chicken nugget.  Adding in super foods, foods that have an extremely high nutritional content, to my diet like kale, spinach, blueberries and quinoa instantly gave me an energy boost. Over time I was even able to tame my sweet tooth and beat a life long sugar addiction by incorporating sweet vegetables and fruits like carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, oranges, bananas, dates and berries.
